The Wheeling Vintage Raceboat Regatta Basket Raffle was a huge success in 2007 and will return for the 2008 Regatta. The raffle is comprised of items donated by local businesses and individuals. Each basket is organized around a theme: last year's baskets included themes of WVU and the Steelers (both baskets included tickets to a game!), beauty care, fishing, cleaning supplies, dogs, cats and many more.
Our raffle is a "Chinese raffle" and it is very simple to enter! Twenty tickets are purchased for $5.00, and you are free to choose to put however many tickets you would like toward winning any or all of the baskets by placing a ticket or tickets into a container near that basket. The winners are chosen on Sunday afternoon at the Regatta, and the winner does not need to be present to win.
